As soon as you walk through the doors of the Mad Butcher you will see our retail meat market is not your ordinary Alberta butcher shop! From our fun and friendly staff to the wide array of different meats and sausage products, you will feel like you are in a meat wonderland! You may even get to meet the Mad Butcher while you visit us!

We have a full service, old fashioned counter as well as self serve, packaged meats you can select from. Or, if you prefer, one of our friendly butchers will cut fresh for you whatever size or style of cut you like. We also offer game meat processing and custom meat processing to cater to your needs.

Our specialty sausages and deli products are almost all made right on site by our very own Master Sausage Maker from Germany – and you can have one of our friendly deli clerks slice whatever you like fresh, in your own package size, or you can stock up on many of our products we sell in packages, or boxes. You can buy enough of our famous award winning deli meats or bacon for one sandwich or to feed a family reunion!

Jerky… You Gotta Try it!

Jerky is one of our specialties – we have more varieties of jerky –freshly made on site – than any other shop around! We make Beef, Pork, Bison, all with specialty flavors like Teriyaki, Peppered, Cajun, Hickory – and even “Perky Jerky” (coffee flavored) – developed especially for our favorite morning radio show hosts!

 

We also carry many specialty types of cheeses, salads and sometimes “surprises”, like cooked ribs ready for your dinner or party!
